Chrissy is an activist, survivor, academic, and proud single mum. Chrissy uses her lived experience of domestic abuse and grooming to raise awareness of issues relating to abuse of position of trust for young people in 16-19 education. Chrissy believes the law currently fails young people from abuse of power by those entrusted with their care. She uses research and activism to raise awareness and campaign for issues faced by survivors of abuse.
Sharing her own story with Chris & Beverley they open up the conversation about grooming and what happened to Chrissy herself when her teacher groomed her from the age of 11 and later started a relationship whilst she was still at school at 18 years old….. however, it is still considered legal!
